After last year's wonderfully successful challenge, where dozens of great submissions were made in many fandoms, I've decided we need to do this again.

Welcome to the (Cuff ‘Em, Vamp ‘Em, or Just Make ‘Em Come Already) Kink and Cliché Multi-Fandom Challenge! (Try saying that three times fast. I didn't even add in the 'Second Annual' part.) Basically, you'll write or manip with a kink or cliche prompt from the lists below, that I'll assign. There are three longer lists to choose from, so hopefully everyone will get matched up with something they’ll find interesting.

This year, I'm adding in eliade's list mostly because I love that post and I feel it has good, strong merit. You'll note that there is significant overlap in the lists, so here is how this will work:

You have three areas you can choose to do something with: Kink, Cliché, or Something from eliade's list of fannish Kinks, Tropes, and Clichés. If you're like, OMG! I don't care! EVERYTHING IS AWESOME, just say 'Any'.

I’ll select two prompts from that list that you choose, and one from one of the opposite lists.

You’ll write or manip one of the three prompts that I send you. I'm giving you one of the other choices so you might be enticed to try something you wouldn’t normally write, and you can tell me if there are one or two you will not write in the category you're signing up for in your sign up comment here.

The Rules

This is going to work like a flash fiction, in that, you are not to post before the due date of May 15th. If you're going to be late, be aware you won't be linked for weeks as I shall be on vacation and not really caring that you failed.

Since this is not a reciprocal challenge, I will not be hunting you down for a story or anything. I sincerely hope you manage to finish your challenge since I'll be going through the effort of assigning everything, but I'm not going to be blackballing you forever more if you can't manage it. This is the least pressure-filled challenge you will ever sign up for, I promise. Have fun with it. This is supposed to be a hilarious, *fun* challenge.

1) Stories and manips/fanart are both welcome.
2) Any word length for stories. (1,000 word minimum would be enjoyed, but not a requirement.)
3) Any fandom is welcome to play! (The kink and cliché love is universal, after all. And here’s a hint—if you want more things produced, mention it to your friends, flist and fandom newsletters! The more people that hear, the more people might play.)
4) Any pairing. Slash or het. (Or…variations.)
5) You can work in whatever kinks/cliches you'd like, so long as you have one of your three assigned in this, it's all good.
